Level: 0 CS Original | So I did something really stupid today, that probably led to one of my friends being more depressed than they already were. I just would keep talking, and wouldn't shut up, I couldn't. and everything I said, regardless of what it was, made things so much worse. and I kept talking and talking until they finally just left. It scares me thinking that one day I'm going to go over the edge, and I'm going to lose a friend because I am the way I am. Everything I said, everything I did, was for the purpose of making her feel better and all I could do is dig her deeper and deeper. It's one of those weird moments when you realize how impossible it is to please everyone. Even if it is the most important person in your life, your personal feelings could get in the way of what makes them happy. It's like you're an audience member in a movie, watching the character walk off screen and out of your life. And there isn't a single damn thing you can do, because in their ideals, in their goals, you're lost to them. I've been single for months, I've gotten stronger, smarter, better grades, better posture, and everyone still looks at me the same. It's hard to believe that I actually changed any, because it seems like to others I've made no significant changes. I'm finally trying to move forward with my life rather then be stuck in an endless cycle with the person I cherish more than anything in this world. But it still comes back, I can't stop it, and even though it does, I still move forward. I never got into addiction, I never abused anything, I never hurt myself, and I never shut myself away. but I'm still in this rut, trying my hardest to break free. and... I dunno sometimes it feels like that really important person couldn't care if you died. and that's probably what hurts more than anything else. But... I'm moving forward because there's nowhere else to go. I'm going to become a better person so I can stop being an asshole to my friends. The previous was not written by me. It was by Zach Joseph Morgan. Why I share it? Is because I 'stole' it from him on Facebook. And this is how I feel today, right here and now. | |||||
