So I have been talking to a few people and I like hearing all the conspiracy theories around 9/11 well a I asked two of the people to give me what they think is the "best of" 9/11 conspiracy theories that they claim to be fact (of course i limited the amount of material i would review). At that I decided i was going to review the material and keep a open mind when reading the information. So if anybody has read or seen the youtube before or wants to review and put down their thoughts at the material presented please do so. I will be reading this and if it needs debunked i'll debunk if not then i will not if i end up going into the conspiracy light then so be it. The two material I will be reviewing are below, in case anybody else wants to help out as well.

This is a .pdf

The Open Chemical Physics Journal
Title: Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe

http://www.bentham.org/open/tocpj/articles/V002/7TOCPJ.htm?TOCPJ/2009/00000002/00000001/7TOCPJ.SGM

This is a youtube. title: A danish scientist Niels Harrit, on nano-thermite in the WTC dust ( english subtitles ).

We covered Bentham Open in a previous discussion.

Anyone can get their paper published through Bentham Open for a mere 800 dollars. It is not a reputable source of peer reviewed information and in fact has been rocked by scandal. There is no peer reviewing, it just costs money.

There is absolutely no reason to read the paper published by Bentham Open other than some urge to continue indulging Truthers. I don't have that urge, so I see no reason to read it.

Neils Harrit is also the main guy behind the paper published by Bentham, so the YouTube video is essentially an attempt to polish a turd. And, as we all know, you cannot polish a turd. It just smooshes around.

Proof by verbosity, a favorite tactic of the paranoid.

They can shovel all the bullshit on as they want, but in the end its still bullshit.

I hate proof by intimidation I basically shutdown and logical and reason are replaced by being pissed off I imagine in people unfamiliar with people who use these tactics it would work by reaching these people to a emotional state it begins to make them reconsider their position while the other side grins at what they do...

I agree with you Ed and Matt at that.

Ben was a classic case of proof by verbosity/intimidation. If you watch one video and point out flaws, he doesn't acknowledge the flaws you pointed out. He just links a new video. Its a never ending game that I refuse to play any more with those assholes.

omg, that thing has been gone over and over and over. So boring.

Maybe its also because Im on the JREF 911 forum and its a constant topic in several threads where truthers show no understanding of any of the subjects they talk about.

It was debunked very quickly originally by someone on the JREF called Sunstealer which showed the it couldnt be thermite, with their OWN data. They also wont perform tests that would give a definitive answer that labs do all the time for the police in arson cases and even though iron microspheres can originate from many sources they decide to claim only thermite can be the cause for absolutely no reason at all.

People are throwing information upon information and then a friend said to me what about building 7. I didn't know anything about building 7 until I came upon the Zeitgeist movement now building 7 is their main issue. They should be it was a plained demolition some, think it wasn't plained, others think whatever...

I am beginning to think 9/11 is like a folk lore where the more the story is told and investigated the more crazier and outlandish it gets and then when you try to get down to the facts or anything at all people discuss fiction like it's somehow truth... It's so well polished BS that if you didn't know what this junk was about in the first place you'd believe what they said even though they themselves don't know anything but the folk lore even if they think it is truth. Ultimately 9/11 truthers don't know what they are talking about. I will still attempt to keep a open mind when reviewing the documents but it will be very hard to do so. I think 9/11 is a bad event but it needs to be laid to rest on both conspiracy theorist side and as a reason to why we're invading other countries...

If you truthers could let it die and start doing something good like protesting the war that would be great but instead you continue to bash people over the head with 9/11 conspiracy theory's and present the material as 100% truth when it's just folk lore. Yes their was some odd stuff happening I'll agree, but ultimately what is that going to do? What will you achieve if you find the truth? Congratulation you win now what?

Maureen Dowd's book Bushworld illustrates exactly why the 911 plot slipped through the cracks, there was no inside job. It was just incompetence and stupidity. The Bush administration was all about cold war missile shield type shit. Its actually sort of amazing how totally removed from reality they were.

But it wasn't a conspiracy. They were just stupid ideologues.

Bill,

"didn't know anything about building 7 until I came upon the Zeitgeist movement now building 7 is their main issue. They should be it was a plained demolition some, think it wasn't plained, others think whatever... "

What do you mean in that last sentence? :S Do you think WTC7 was a demolition?

Someone showed me something of it being a legit planned demolition from someone who looked to be a banker. I personally have no clue if it's true or not but he said it was a spur of the moment demolition for safety reasons the building needed to be taken down now then later.

I took a look at domokato's stuff in the video I watched it sounded like a spur of the moment but planned demolition to such an extent that fire fighters knew about it and were blocking paths on the street for this to happen. I do remember debris being the reason building 7 collapsed but of course it must be a demolition.

There's no such thing as a spur of the moment building implosion. It takes a lot of planing.

So it sounds like it wasn't "planned" as in rigged up prior to 9/11. But it was "planned" as in it was purposefully demolished to ensure the building fell correctly or something, because it was going to anyway from the damage.

Yeah let's ignore the two towers where thousands of people died and focus on stupid ass building seven, because we're just that desperate at this point.

I hate Truthers.

That commercial the Geraldo segment was about is fronted by the same old AE911 Truther tardos. They try to make it sound like its coming from family members, but it ain't.

The best is how they were there to discuss Building 7, yet the father wanted to throw in the fact that it was an inside job. When Geraldo asked for an explanation, the father quickly shut him down saying he isn't there to discuss that.

"I'm not saying building 7 was an inside job, I'm just asking questions."

Its kind of sad how the AE911 folks will exploit grieving family members.

What? You mean do I believe the official story? Yes. But I read it again and it seems that part of the article was talking about building 6, not 7. The "pull it" thing, anyway. So now I'm a little confused, but whatever.

Yes, building 6 had to be destroyed by pulling it over with cables because it was unsafe. Building 7 collapsed on it's own from the damage. But also there is an interview where Larry Silverstein says something like "we decided to pull it" when he is talking about building 7. Conspiracy theorist's claim that he was talking about demolishing the building, but he was actually talking about pulling the firefighters out of the building.

@sky now I see what building 7 was all about. Conspiracy theorists believe in folk lores and stretched truths and let their imagination take over I'm nto saying it's a bad thing all the time but when to many people are analyzing one thing crazy stuff can come out of it.
