I just wanted to write to you to say that you almost had me. Not that long ago I decussed with you about a book by Zbigniew Brzezinski called Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era; that you called a paper weight and has no baring in todays world. I went along with that until I found out about another book by him called the Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives; which he wrote. It is a pretty damning book; hint, hint America Needs a new Perl Harbor.
I just finished reading it last night. From what I was able to understand from it; it was a scary book.

Okay so, you're saying I "had you" by saying that "Between Two Ages" wasn't great because now you've found another book "Grand Chessboard"? How does that make any sense at all? That's called a strawman, it's unrelated to the discussion of one thing.
You're scared of a book which is talking about dominating Eurasia and Central Asia after the Soviet Union? I assume you think hint, hint, the "New Pearl Harbor" refers to 9/11, but first you actually have to prove 9/11 was an inside job, then you have to prove how it has anything to do with dominating the area of the former Soviet Union. You can't use one conspiracy theory to prove another one.

Wow, that's just like 9/11, that proves it, completely! You know, I have a feeling you haven't read the book in question, I'm sure you just did a text search for "Pearl Harbor." What you're doing is projecting your own insecurities of not reading anything onto me, believing that I also must not read anything, when that's hardly the case.
I don't see how what he's saying suggests he wants another Pearl Harbor -- in fact what he is saying is absolutely true; you're only seeing what you want to see.

Yes, I've read both books we've discussed, and no it doesn't make you or me a special person reading a book millions of other people have read. Have you read the Three Little Pigs? I hear that talks about the coming apocalypse. Are you sure you've read it? Are you really, really sure? You can only talk about the Three Little Pigs if you've mastered Mother Goose.

That's what the grand chessboard is about, about America's position in the world after the collapse of the USSR, especially since the collapse of the USSR has lead America to being more careful about wars it starts abroad, and it can't easily justify anything in the name of stopping communism. It's really a take on the world after the collapse of the USSR from a neoconservative perspective, sort of like the neoconservative view of American foreign policy, like how Hegemony or Survival by Noam Chomsky is basically the exact opposite -- that's a book you should read as well.
