Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | So, why aren't the serious people running over to Technocracy.org to spur it on? They aren't into CT's as far as I know (haven't checked).

Level: 0 CS Original | > Nanos: it seems your RBE future would be sort of a fascist welfare state. Quite probably yes. As long as it works and people are happy, I don't care what it is. > Nanos: you're nuts. Perhaps, time will tell.. (Being that I've successfully run a MMORPG corporation that made my members wealthy, and managed a real life department to the extent that it was running so effiently I had to send people home early, rather than be days or weeks behind on our work like previously, I think I'm far from nuts.) > So, why aren't the serious people running over to Technocracy.org to spur it on? Do they want to build anything ? (Last time I checked out US side Technocracy, this is isn't it ? they was similar to TZM in waiting for everyone to want Technocracy by spreading the word and not build anything..)

Level: 4 CS Original | Technocracy Inc. wants to implement a technate after a referendum vote. So spreading the word is essentially the first step. Another difference between TZM and Technocracy Inc. is that TechInc has much more complete plans for society, but I still find them lacking. Also, TechInc makes the same arguments about abundance and automation, which I think we've shown to be flawed.

Level: 1 CS Original | I dont believe money is entirely the cause of corruption and as I said if the concept of an RBE doesnt work then there is nothing wrong with making the current system of doing things more sustainable or doing the research into such methods. In fairness Im not shoving ideology down peoples throats like say your typical Zeitgeister. All I was pointing out is that RBEF is willing to do something else other than "spread awareness" like research(To be honest I have nothing against working 9-5 every as long as its something that I like say working in the laboratory).Oh and Matt I will fit it into my schedule

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | Spend less time defending RBE and more time finding Falkner's post. He's covered everything you talk about.

Level: 0 CS Original | > "Being that I've successfully run a MMORPG corporation that made my members wealthy" If your interested in details, with profit sharing everyone was able to earn 10 times more per working hour than your average ran profit squeezing boss run model. I invested heavily in automation, ran a strict ship, designed highly efficient work practices (Such as an offonline post office freight system.), listened to my workers improvement suggestions and sacked those who didn't perform well. Thats where I noticed those from Nordic countries worked especially well, and that folk from the likes of UK/US mean while spent most of their time slacking off, scamming and generally being unproductive and troublesome. The games design and access to data limited many oppertunities for testing solutions, which is something I wish to address by coding my own, but the whole experience did show me as capable to running an organisation well.

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | So basically you ran bots in an online game. Where I come from, we call that cheating.

Level: 0 CS Original | I didn't run bots, I made use of game mechanics in a unique way so that people could make use of a post office box feature to drop off and pick up stuff from password locked containers in a common area, and yet the same containers could be accessed by staff whose job it was to move freight around in their own vehicles. (Thus two people didn't need to be online at the same time to transfer from one to the other, which was normally the case.)
