Who wants to backpack around Northern Europe with me next year?

Interesting. I'm planning to backpack Europe the summer I graduate high school.

But I'm only a sophomore this fall.
Could you provide some more specifics about your trip?

Since I can't go, I'm going to take this moment to say the following:

That's what I did, it really was an awesome experience.

I went with a few pals who were really into metal, so we visited a lot of the big European metal festivals that they have during the summer. I didn't go to northern Europe like Brenton is planning (though I would love to someday) but we backpacked through France, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Oh, I really have no idea. We spent a little over two months there. (For some reference)

Essentials, like Metallica and such.

I'm into thrash metal and progressive as well.
I don't really find bands like BMTH interesting.

I also like black metal, when the vocals aren't just atrocious.
