I first encountered the second article about 2 years ago, before I really started getting into and learning about all the CT's out there. I saw it posted on another forum, and didn't really pay it too much attention at the time, but I was surprised to see it mentioned a few times in Ben's oh so comprehensive debunking of this site.

In short, the flag of the coast guards is actually our real flag... and the stars and stripes that we're all so familiar with is actually flown as a sign to let us all know that we are under admiralty/military law, and have been for quite a while. Is this related towards the "Freeman on the Land" stuff? Haven't really looked into that particular CT much yet.

Yes. Encountered this when I clerked for a federal magistrate back in the mid-90s. I haven't clicked on the links posted in this topic yet, but I assume they're all about the bullshit CT that the official US government was overthrown (secretly, of course) in the 1930s and replaced with military courts, which is why the flags in the courtroom have gold fringe on them. Occasionally we'd get some militia lunatic who'd be up on federal charges and try to use this CT as a blanket defense. One of the highlights of my legal career was when I got to draft an order slapping down one of these conspiratards.

It's another variant of the "sacred list" species. Like, if the government really was secretly overtaken by the military, they would advertise this fact by the flags they place in public courtrooms instead of just issuing an executive order to change the flags.
