Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | I am Omni-Science. I'm a 15 year old high school student with a passion in medicine, and I plan to become a certified doctor in a medical field. On a conspiracy related note, I despise "naturopathy", the belief that allopathic (regular) medicine is bad and that ancient, outdated practices, such as colon hydrotherapy, work etc. Most of you are wondering if I'm still a Zeitgeister. Not anymore, but I suppose I can call myself a technocrat. I don't know nearly as much about the organization or what they're up to, which is why I didn't do anything for TZM, other than speak at this year's Z Day. I spent a lot of time lurking here, and after I saw the inconsistencies and such pointed out by everyone I turned away from TZM completely. So I'd like an "official" forum welcome and some relevant information about the people here :P

Life's Too Short Level: 1 CS Original | >>Now I just need help figuring out why I bought into ZM VP ideology.....<< I've stated this a few times in earlier posts. It's quite easy to be attracted to CT's when to the casual eye, you see that the world is a screwed up place. Most people look for reasons, and those reasons sometimes land people in the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories. The problem is that most if not all your most popular conspiracy theories are nothing but fables. Simple logic and research is all you need to see the flaws. EDIT: Because these CT's are BS does not mean that there aren't some sick/twisted/evil people out there. Yes, this does included some in government as well.

Life's Too Short Level: 1 CS Original | Most people here are. And there's nothing wrong with that, as there is nothing wrong with believers either. I've always played by the golden rule of: Believe what you want, just don't try to force it on anyone else. If someone wants to believe there's a flying purple monkey above their home that only they can see, that's their own problem. Not mine.

Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | I kind of disagree with the "there is nothing wrong with believers" part. I think that certain believers have something wrong with them. Mainly because their religious lifestyle compels them to self harm and terrible ideas to live by. If a true Christian "sins", he's conditioned to feel bad about it, which is bad if it's something that comes natural to him/her, which causes stress, and I don't need to verify how stress is bad for the body. My two examples would be masturbation and homosexuality. Or do I need to verify? I know how sources are important to everyone here. :)

President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho: porn star and five-time ultimate smackdown wrestling champion! Level: 150 CS Original | >> I'm just wondering, how do you define "technocracy" Cap'n? More or less as defined by Technocracy, Inc. Essentially where authority (kratos) is based on skill (techno), it's almost the same as meritocracy. Also included is the idea of as much automation as possible, though removing the labor force completely is not possible -- or at least won't be for a long time. I personally view it as a natural outcome of automation in a post-industrial society, and I don't think you can simply force it to happen as TZM wants it to. I view it as an extension of my root beliefs in Anarchism (Anarcho-syndicalism specifically; Anarcho-capitalism is just another form of tyranny), but I was at odds with two concepts 1) merit, 2) authority based on said merit. In Anarchism all authority must justify its existence, and often when it comes to merit, people can ignore that and go with popularity instead. So, I see it as a natural evolution from another revolutionary concept really. In either case, I think it will happen eventually.

Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | >> I remember when you when you and Mr. Eccles were preaching to us about the Zeitgeist Movement, and now look how things have changed. What are some of the specific inconsistencies that changed your mind? << The Conspiracy theories. and how abundantly rampant they are on TZM. The totalitarian rule of PJM on TZM is also worth mentioning. After looking into CT's in general, I realized how delusional and unproductive they are. So therefore, any organization with the hopes of doing something similar to TZM and TVP's goals is going to be run down. Good summation, Cap'n (better than mine :P). How would said authority justify it's existence? And when do you think it will happen? >>Welcome. Your checks from the CIA will begin arriving soon.<<

And when do you think it will happen? The best example used by Anarchists for the last 40 years is: if I'm walking down the street with my daughter, and she runs out into the street, I have the authority (and obligation) to force her back on to the side walk. That's justified authority. When it comes to a community, of course, it becomes more complicated -- that's because humans are complicated, not because they *learned* how to be violent/crazy/stupid/etc. This is the biggest problem with TZM/TVP, it's stuck in the age where no authority is needed because everyone is a blank slate. Most authority isn't needed, but it is needed to a certain extent and sometimes is necessary, but as I said justifying its existence is difficult in many situations.

Brainwashing you for money Level: 15 CS Original | hello omni science I remember you from the forums too, a very ardent follower of the movement has come to his senses. If you want to know why you fell for it. Its easily explained. You were conned by the oldest trick in the book, show them a pretty a picture, tell them they have problems and that the pretty picture can fix it, then do nothing to make the pretty picture become reality and get everyone else to promote the pretty picture. Thats all there is to it, and it doesnt make you stupid, because clever people get suckered by this every day in new variations of it. Its a con job mate you now have first hand experience of it. About me: 1 person could bring down their house of cards with a bit of determination so they need to protect their members from it. I am a 99% atheist, 1% of me doubts my atheism every now and then [after all I am human too and have weaknesses], I like to have science and facts explained thoroughly and precisely when grand claims are made, and I think CT's are mentally disturbed and comedians at the same time.

Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | @everyone who's ever heard the mentioned below. You know how some people say colon cleansing is good for you, since it supposedly cleans your bowels from the pasted on, putrified feces in your colon (large intestine)? It was a sound theory back in the 1910's.... until autopsy, biopsy, and surgery reports indicated that no such thing happens in your colon. In fact, the technique used in colon cleansing is actually *bad* for you, since it washes away essential bacteria and depletes electrolytes. I think I've heard of people dying from complications after the cleansing. @ Captain Ferseus This is one of those 'make time for your health' problems. 5 Hour energy gives the 'quick fix' vibe, which almost never works in health. @anticultist Who is this Brian Dunning? Any videos I could watch?
