you can't possibly believe that he was telling the truth when he said that the press should be more responsible for reporting the truth. The damn guy was the president of United States! If he lived to run for office the second time, he would probably pray every night for the press not to tell the truth! The guy was having an affair in the white house for shits sake! Yeah! He wants the press to vigorously seek the truth! My ass! If the press revealed the truth, this nation would have been in shambles decades ago. The purpose of the speech was to maintain unfounded trust in the press, and to instigate nationalism.
Why would he speak of the power elite and their sly ways, if he was part of the power elite? Obviously he was, otherwise he would not have been the president.

JFK wouldn't have been shot had he had not attempted to remove the federal reserve in an executive order. He made a move to stifle the banking cartel. His speech reflected his knowledge of the cartel and it's worldly influence. JFK was a good guy, which is why he is dead. Don't forget that the power that they had to elect a desired candidate came from their influence on the public, the media and other institutions, not complete control over every vote.
