Level: 0 CS Original | So yeah, I'm still pretty new here, and I keep my mouth shut most of the time in order to understand the general tone of the forums here. Anyway, I've followed and read about 9/11 conspiracies for a few years now, but I've never really watched, remembered, and documented any of these conversations. The bulk of them has been me arguing with my nutter brother (who claims Alex Jones is a stealth Jew, whatever that is). So a guy I know on Facebook starts posting a bunch of crap about WTC 7 being demoed -- dumbassery at its best, I know. It's positively amazing how his arguments parallel exactly the same things I've seen here. I won't go into a copy-and-paste session with them, but as far as it goes: 1. Assertion stated (demoed, near freefall speed, a few small fires, little structural damage.) I simply don't understand these guys sometimes. Anyway, I figured I'd tell someone who gave a little bit of a damn. I hope my simple retelling of the story is clear enough to understand. It's just very strange how much of the conversation paralleled exactly what I've read here, Infowars, Prison Planet, etc. Now he's on a quest to see how much he can talk to himself by making new posts every few minutes about how someone needs to name another building which fell from fire...thus, somewhat like a post I noted here a few days ago where some guy made up an imaginary conversation over on the Zeitgeist boards. The only way they get anywhere with anyone is by talking to themselves or in their echo chambers. I'm very curious about these people's mentalities. I don't necessarily think they're all mentally unstable, although I'm sure some are. I think I'm finally getting a common thread among them -- victim complexes. But why? For what reason? I don't understand.

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | Inability to recognize incompetence in themselves, but also over-estimation of their competence. An inability to differentiate between good information and bad is also a part of it. Usually a whole lot of other cognitive problems follow, like the inability to understand context.

Level: 8 CS Original | A big part of it is emonion. Fear and Anger or the treggers. Then it becomes more of a addiction and it becomes hard the shake. I am still shacking it.

Level: 0 CS Original | I suppose those are a lot of it, but why are their responses so uniform? I mean, you'd think someone issues a points paper.

Level: 10 CS Original | I think many of them treat it like they treat anything they are a fan of, ever tried to argue with extreme fans of, for example, Star Trek or Star Wars about what is and isn't cannon? Its like arguing with religious people and conspiracy theorists, honestly.
