If Jacque Fresco was to play Sim City; who long would the poor Sims last?

He would be baffled by the inability to make circles and go take a nap.

I thought of an idea for a strategy game. Your goal is to convert modern Earth into a global RBE. You start off with no job, no credentials, and no capital.

Go!

that game would always end with the player moving into a basement apartment and then opening an internet account on his mom's computer and blogging about starting an RBE. shit, this is one of those box-within a box things. My head hurts.

It would be the best game I've written yet, mainly because, outside of graphics, it would take only minutes to program. All you need is to display the instructions and then provide a quit button.

I think he'd lower taxes to zero, try to make water and power available to everyone for free.

He would forsake garbage-handling concepts like landfills, because everyone would get what they needed. For free.

And he would only build residential zones, because with no money, commercial and industrial zones will only hurt.

Did I mention he'd fail hard?

The residential zones wouldn't develop as they require active commercial and industrial zones.

You'd have a city of one: you.

People would move in, fail to find jobs, and move out. Woohoo!

Free download! It's even set in the future, so... going by Zeitgeist logic, a circular city should now work perfectly... or something.

The population would grow rapidly and then suddenly fall sharply as fuckbots would be invented thus leading to a decrease in the amount of births since most of the male population would find it easier than getting laid with real women(obviously since machines are supposed to reduce human labour).

Surprisingly, the guy who is probably building the best cities at SC, is also a TVP advocate.

I read this hilarious comment in the Zeitgeist Wiki asking people to remove the gun before making circular city demos in Unreal.

Hey thats my idea! :-)

No seriously.. ;-)

I'm working on something like that so that RBE style solutions can be tested in a MMORPG environment and statistical data more easily obtained to document differences in competing community management styles.

TZM's approach is to launch into a world already developed, mine is to start in the stone age..

I must have missed that, I assume by people they mean me...
