Level: 1 CS Original | I'll have a go. You see Matt, in the future there will be things called Robots. And these Robots will make computers, build furniture, harvest crops, have sex with you, etc. And you can spend all day relaxing, fucking Robots, reading, fucking more Robots, worshiping PJ and Fresco, and of course, fucking more Robots. Every city will look like something out of a science fiction novel because Robots built them. Oh, and everything is free and you don't have to work. Because Robots will have replaced labor and fiat money. And if you get bored, you can fuck a Robot. It's basically this: Brave New World + Das Kapital + Star Trek + I Robot = RBE. I don't know why I capitalized "Robots", maybe because there so important to the movement.

Brainwashing you for money Level: 15 CS Original | Its quite easily explained matt, we are going to bring about world peace through technology, first we will build everything from scratch. We will wipe out everything we have made so far and go and build our new cities all over the world, we will let computers and robots do everything for us. Then we will of made everyone happy because there will be no violence and everyone will be nice to each other all across the world. It should be obvious to everyone how this will work, whay are you even questioning it, dont you want world peace and to help the hungry and the homeless? Stop questioning us and start spreading the word, you are just a status quo geetkeeper if you dont.

Level: 0 CS Original | Well, before we know if RBE is like Marxism, it might be useful to know just what Marxism is, or supposed to be. A bit like RBE, what is RBE, it seems a very vague term that doesn't mean much when you look into it.. At best, it appears like energy accounting Technocracy stuff..

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | I wonder if the reason all the RBE people claim it isn't Marxism is because they don't know what Marxism is. http://www.allaboutphilosophy.org/what-is-marxism-faq.htm</p>

Brainwashing you for money Level: 15 CS Original | Also they use semantics to dispute it, and ignore the obvious similarities and discuss the differences only. This makes them feel like they have a strong case because they can wriggle out of discussing its similarities and redefine what Marxism is.

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | "This makes them feel like they have a strong case because they can wriggle out of discussing its similarities and redefine what Marxism is." Hugo Chavez tried to redefine it, but I don't think anyone's buying it and he actually matters on the world stage. There are just as many slums as ever.

So yeah I think theres going to be no proving going on in this thread.

Level: 6 CS Original | "I wonder if the reason all the RBE people claim it isn't Marxism is because they don't know what Marxism is." What else? Jacque's only experience with Marxism was that he was thrown out of a marxist meeting, hence Marxism is bad and you don't have to know what it means. RBE from TZM point of view: The current system is unsustainable, the power of profit corrupts people and thus we have to make the resources of the earth common heritage of all people and arrive at decisions through science and if we do that, aaaaall bad things about humans can be eliminated through better environements RBE from my point of view: Don't read Marx or Agnoli or Marcuse, don't study global resource allocation or human behavior, just let robots do the job and dance all day! Oh, wait, dancing is NOT scientific, hence dancing is forbidden.

Level: 6 CS Original | They avoid that point by saying that even if you have some natural behavior, it is only triggered by something in your environment. Which is like saying "You only get hungry if you know food exists".
