Level: 0 | so apparent "seas of blood" covered a beach in Sydney, Australia (not sure when), and christians of course relate this to their "bible prophecy" of "seas of blood". Not sure exactly which specific bible verse refers to this but it is clear on the "seas of blood" thing. Really though, this is nothing more then a natural occurence of red algae discolouring the water (a little research can go a long ways). http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/video/2012/nov/28/red-algae-sydney-beaches-video http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/protista/rhodophyta.html this particular algae absorbs blue light and reflects red light (which is why it appears red in the day, but "glows blue" at night). I'm not Christian as you know, I don't imagine any of us being such, but this just goes to show how people will very often mistake natural occurences for "prophecy". People back in the days (ex. 1000 years ago or more) would see these natural occurences taking place and would mistake it as being the "wrath of God", of course this isn't the case, it's just natural occurences. This same thing could have happened 100 years ago, or 200 years ago etc... and people would have made the same mistake of thinking it is fulfillment of "prophecy", when it isn't.

I shoot you dead. Level: 9 CS Original | I think the Deepwater Horizon spill was also supposedly a sea of blood. Haven't we been waiting for the rapture for about 2000 years now? When's it coming? Damn thing is sure taking its sweet time...
