I got accused by a peak doomer of having my head in the and and not listening to what he has to say. By refusing to listen to his arguments am I doing what he accuses me off?

I wouldn't give it another thought. Doomers tend to be a strange bunch that are so engrossed with their beliefs that they consider it to be absolute truth, and they just can't understand why no one would want to learn the "truth".

What's the likelihood your doomer has access to persuasive evidence every other dis-proven doomer on the planet is not privy to ?

Unless your doomer has some special persuasive knowledge, ignoring them is perfectly reasonable.

"Why do you come to me with that? I'm not an expert. Talk to the scientists, have them review their evidence, or submit your findings for publication."

Odds are, he doesn't have anything to present or all his points are presented as axiomatic.
