also if you fall into the belief that peak oil crash is imminent you then fall into the mindset that all functioning operation of equipment to farm with and manufacturing there of dies.

Well to be fair while I don't agree with the reason for it I see it does make sense. It means you don't have to worry about finding arable fertile land and like buildings building up saves resources.
