Yeah, I'm pretty sure he went way over board. He should have put them down and just stepped back. They rushed him and hit him first, but that's no excuse. The employee also, apparently, just got out of jail for manslaughter. Might have an anger issue.

I can see a panicked individual who is clearly defending himself. I think when the two ladies jumped over the cash register he looked a bit surprised and did what he had to do to protect himself. If this was a cop protecting himself, no one would have as much of a discussion over this and he wouldn't of been fired from his job.

Good one lol, yeah Falkner click that search link Jim provided. That link contains some articles of police in occupy wall street applying same amount of force or worse as applied in the McDonalds video. I wonder if any of those cops will lose their jobs or be charged for using excessive force? I doubt it.

I wouldn't of went that far, but I won't judge the guy. He was put in a violent situation through no choice of his own. If those bitches didn't want to be smashed repeatedly with a metal oily stick, they shouldn't of been initiating violence.

It's a federal offence for a cashier to return counterfeit bills. They are supposed to be confiscated and reported.

I have, and it ended with everyone just backing up. Why do you have to turn your back to leave a fight, matt? Honestly, i think it would have been just fine to have them go down, the guy backs up with the crow bar and see if they even try that shit again.

This is a bit sketchy because it's mostly up to the private establishment if they want to go through the procedure to determine if the bills are fake or not. Just because some cashier says it's fake doesn't make them a expert in counterfeit bills. For most fast food restaurants the typically procedure is they don't normally accept bills over $50.00 unless the food being ordered is around that amount. So I would assume (don't really know) the lady ordered $50 worth of food but service can still be denied if they think the bill isn't real and if their caught doing this their defense can and will always be that the McDonalds worker isn't a expert, incompetence, among various other defenses that would work. I don't think it's right that McDonalds among other private establishments do not report counterfeit bills to the feds as in a perfect world they should go through the correct procedures but they don't. I don't think it's right the guy got fired for doing his job because the real reason he got fired was for PR reasons by McDonalds.

I think the counterfeit money issue is a separate issue all together.If the feds want all counterfeit bills reported to them then they should enforce the law by requiring all private establishments to have a bill scanner (possibly paid by the feds ultimately by tax dollars) that the bill scanner reads a bill as counterfeit then that bill should be reported to the feds so they can do their job. The feds enforce this federal law towards private establish because 1 obvious reason is that private establishments have the most to lose if that keep accepting counterfeit bills as real currency so it would be in their best interest to develop a practice (which they have) to keep counterfeit bill acceptance to a minimum.

I think it would be interesting to find out from a expert if the $50 were counterfeit or not; not that it will affect the cashier in the assault charges against him currently.
