It appears that what this "school" does is it lures teachers into taking a class which then designates them as being "called." Most likely, being "called" earns status and privilege at the "school." At which point, the "school" no longer considers the teacher to be an employee but a member of the clergy. Being a member of the clergy, the "school" no longer has to honor regulations like he American Disabilities Act.

What a fucking scam.

I came to a different conclusion. What I got from it was everything you said except the part that they don't have to honor regulations like the American Disabilities Act. From what I read from the second source, quote "that the school board intended to
amend the employee handbook to request that employees on disability for more than six
months resign their calls to allow Hosanna-Tabor to responsibly fill their positions."

They succeeded with doing so for the protection of their students which honestly I can't think of any danger a narcoleptic can pose to students other than their medication being in a place easily accessible to students. The Supreme Court ruling will be interesting to see.
