Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | What is your take on how a war would turn out between China and the USA, disregarding MAD and the US's current wars as non-factors for this fictional scenario? Just a "what if" thought, no more no less.

There ARE more sluts in public schools. Shut up and let me explain. Level: 8 CS Original | 1) China has a larger army but the inability to move troops China isn't really any more powerful than they were 100 years ago. The vast majority of their population lives as if it's 1860 BC. China's economy is eventually going to implode because they're creating a bubble larger than anything you've ever seen before. Let's say that wasn't true though, the US would still win because the US has experience in overthrowing governments and waging large scale wars against states. The US problems in wars come from fighting guerrillas, so long as it's a state, it doesn't stand a chance. It's not even a serious question, and I think it's something only Americans worry about because of all of their manufacturing that happens in China. China isn't a sleeping dragon, China is a ticking time-bomb telecommunications and construction bubble. The US worried about Japan in the exact same ways as they do about China in the 1980s. The only reason people in the US talk about war between China is because they don't understand the relationship between the US and China, and they don't understand China's total ineptitude when it comes to military power. China beat the US in war or economic power? Never going to happen. The latter seems inevitable, but when you consider what I said previously about the majority of the population being backward and the fact that in order to sustain jobs China is building apartments costing in excess of $1 million but have no one to sell them to... I'd worry more about the future position of the Communist Party of China, rather than whether or not China poses a threat to the US: because it doesn't. Not even Russians are scared of the Chinese, Americas are just scared of everything.

Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | Agreed. After seeing that video about China's absolutely enormous housing bubble, it dawned on me that the Chinese government is making short term decisions that are going to bite them in the ass. I wonder what China will be 30 years from now. My fears are for what's to become of China, not what's to become of the USA in response to China. So who does pose any sort of threat the US?

There ARE more sluts in public schools. Shut up and let me explain. Level: 8 CS Original | Well, I don't think it'd happen over night. Much of China's manufacturing comes from special areas which are far more independent from the central planning that's creating these bubbles, as well as China's overall economy. The US will have time to move its manufacturing to other places like Mexico and other crappy states will step up when it becomes obvious to everyone that China's to implode. The bright side though is that the US has come back from far worse situations.
Militarily? No one. Which is a shame to say.

Depends on how you define threat. It's unrealistic to expect anybody to be able to completely conquer or dismantle the United States, but the biggest flaw of the US military is its size - leading to inertia and silo effects (intel isn't shared fairly or efficiently) and making it comparably easy for potential opponents to land quick strikes against strategic points, before a proper response is launched. The big questions would be: 1) Why would one attack the US? I don't see any group on this planet that could find a satisfying answer to all three points.

HAIL HYDRA Level: 6 CS Original | 1) Why would one attack the US? Hatin' our freedoms and our guns n' trucks! 2) What would be the goal of attacking the US? Take our guns n' trucks! 3) (How) would one deal with the consequences? Put the guns in the trucks and park the trucks in the garage!
