dude, its just going to be about the racist confederates who all conspired to kill lincoln. Booth was the trigger man, but several people were executed for conspiring to assassinate the president.

I saw this movie and it was a really good one. The Lincoln assassination was a conspiracy that involved a small group of Confederate loyalists in witch Booth was one. Now the movie deals with Mary Surratt; who at the time was thought to be one of the conspirators but believed by many historians to be a victim of an overzealous rush to judgment. She was the owner of the Boarding House that Booth lived that and the conspirators held their meetings but no solid evidence ever been found to indicate that Mary Surratt knew of the conspiracy. But that didn’t keep her from being hung. Anyway if anybody was goes to this film expecting something like JFK they would be in for a disappointment.

Acutely some CTers have been known to use the Lincoln conspiracy to try to “prove” the JFK Conspiracy Theory. Claiming that it would take a “conspiracy” to kill JFK because it took a real conspiracy to kill Lincoln; while ignoring the fact that both McKinley and Garfield where assassinated by a lone nut.

Well I thought it was good but hay I'm a History nut and always liked books and movies about the Civil War.

It is more about a women that was fasly accused. It does deal with the Lincoln conspericy but I think that CTers would be bored to tears. The Lawyer does not have secrete meetings in the park with a mysterious G-man like in JFK; just a guy tring to get his client off.
