You know what is starting to really annoy me. All of these people who think that that history is “repeating “ itself and that you will soon have a third World War. Most people point to the Great Depression as being the “cause” of World War Two; when in really if anything played a minor role. In truth the last time that World War could really have happened was the Cold War. We don’t have the formation of hostile camps like the Triple Entente/Triple Alliance or the Warsaw Pack/NATO ; yes NATO is still around but it has been diminished since the end of the Cold War. We have had no hostile military alliance like the Rome/Berlin/Tokyo Axis that is causing global inedibility. Most importantly we have been going through a period of small military growth which is nowhere close to the levels that happened in the Cold War or before the two World Wars. It is an annoying when people “predict” a World War is coming; when it is clear that don’t know how the first two happened in the first place.

Part of me thinks he (and others) predict this crap because they want it to happen. It is true, they don't have the slightest clue about real history (they probably like Jones' pseudohistory), and how international politics actually work.
