I'm getting really sick of this one. I've had this preposterous claim thrown at me several times in the last 2 weeks in various places, and it makes me crazy because it's so unbelievably stupid. As near as I can tell, 100% of Truthers believe that one or more (9 is the most common number) of the 9/11 hijackers are alive somewhere. It's not the basis of 9/11 inside job claims but it's often thrown in as an afterthought, "Oh, by the way...in addition to all my 'evidence' of controlled demolition/space beams/whatever, the hijackers are still alive."

I'm going to tackle this one, but do you think it's more appropriate as a Wiki article or a blog post? We already have a Wiki for 9/11, but I think this claim deserves its own separate treatment because of its universal belief by Truthers. This claim is also addressed in Edward's debunking of Zeitgeist because Merola pushed it in his movies, but I think it's worth splitting it out separately so we can post links to it as a stand-alone piece when we encounter CT's who throw this one at us.

Thoughts?

Is there any point? 911myths is already very extensive, unless you want to go deeper? Otherwise you'd just be repeating everything they have said.

Some others I've run across that I think we should cover are:

1) WTC 1/2 was designed to take incoming hits from [multiple] planes
2) Jet fuel doesn't explode, it ignites, so the various impacts by planes didn't cause explosions, because that's impossible.
3) CIA trained bin Laden
4) We need to talk about bin Laden originally denying he had anything to do with 9/11, but all the evidence that he actually had, as well as evidence of him admitting it, as well as covering the hijacker videos if we can get them
5) Tons of claims here, we've already covered some: http://forum.prisonplanet.com/index.php?topic=141780.0;wap2

That's just the tippytop. I know a lot of sites with 9/11 stuff already exist, but maybe we should try to cover every single, no matter how stupid, thing we can, so at least people will stop emailing me with stuff I've already heard over and over.

CT's don't refrain from putting bullshit claims on their own sites simply because they've been disseminated elsewhere, so why should we blanch at covering verifiable facts just because they're available elsewhere?

Agreed, but what about my original question? How best to get these on the site? Blog, wiki, what?

I always viewed the blog to deal with recent/current events in the conspiracy world (like the IRS plane crash was a good example) while the rest of the site deals with the real information. So, personally I would say that this should go into the wiki or another article.

@Muertos,

I'm not sure, I've been thinking about that this evening. Basically anything that requires a resources and contains claims and rebuttals likely should be an article, we can create whatever sub-sections we need. The blog is mostly intended to be commentary, op-ed, etc.

As for your other post somewhere earlier about having the wiki linked and such, I'm not really sure how we should do that, I'll try to see if I can set it up to where only we can view it. I've got a lot of incomplete articles that need to be added to the wiki as well.

OK, the "hijackers still alive" article is live on the Wiki. Here's the link:

http://conspiracyscience.com/blog/wiki-911-hijackers-still-alive/</p>

If you have comments or suggested changes, you should probably post them in this topic, not in comments to the Wiki itself.

Since this claim was in Zeitgeist, it can go in the article about that as well. That is how I initially found this site, BTW.
