"we have no proof or pictures of Bin Laden's death, but we choose to believe it. There was an empty tomb and eyewitnesses to Jesus' resurrection and we choose not to believe it."

My girlfriend just told me about this little gem someone posted on FB. I think she enjoys watching me rage.

Not the same thing. For arguments sake, I believe that a man named Jesus lived and was crucified. No one witnessed a resurrection, they simply found an empty tomb. This proves nothing except that the tomb was empty. His own followers did not recognize him later. This would suggest to me that cult members stole the body, buried it in another place then put another 'Jesus' in place. This strengthened what was nothing more than a cult at the time.
On the other side, I choose to believe that OBL is dead because I see no good, logical reason to fake it. What would it accomplish other than pissing off a bunch of crazy extremists who already want us dead? People have short attention spans, a few days of celebrating and their lives go back to normal.

If he wasn't dead I'm sure bin laden would send a video of him self to the press to rile everyone one up.
