I don't recall saying that not releasing the picture would remove the United States from their list of targets. I do recall saying that there's no reason to inflame an already inflammatory situation.

I live in the state where the Oklahoma City bombing occurred. I remember it quite vividly in fact. You should probably be a little more careful about speculating what I'm "virginal" about and what I'm not.

Thats your entire experience with terrorism. A whopping 5 attacks before 911 in 141 years.

I think calling you virginal on the terrorist experience can quite easily be stated when you probably experienced one in your lifetime that was actually near to home.

Where as if you lived in lets say London during the 90's with terrorist bomb threats and actual bombs going off regularly you probably would know already that you cant reason with these people.
And showing them a picture or not doesnt make them stop.

Of course its unreasonable because I have more experience of terrorist attacks than you so I dont see how you want play the reason game with them. You guys think not showing them a picture somehow keeps the terrorists less mad. Its fucking hilarious to me that you believe this.

I think that's a fine reason Anticultist. I just don't think its the only one.

There are already muslim clerics complaing about the burial at sea as being appropriate only if the person died at sea. We have a warped and twisted group of people that want to kill us. They did before, they do now. I don't see any sense in tossing more fuel on a fire if it's avoidable. But there are other reasons I think the pictures should not be released. One being that we don't do that. We don't get gruesome pictures passed around every time the cops shoot down a wanted criminal. Aside from the people who are morbidly curious I think that there are two main groups that want to see the pictures. The CT's, who won't believe them anyway, and the families that lost loved ones on 9-11. Some of them seem to think it will make them feel better or give them some form of closure. But it won't. Because it doesn't change anything nor does it fix anything. Seeing the grisly remains of someone that hurt you doesn't heal your pain, it just gives you one more gruesome thing to remember.
