Bah I was in such a rush when I typed that I used ie instead of eg. :p

Just to add some more to what I said, a theory never becomes a law and vice versa. For instance, the theory of evolution will never become the law of evolution, no matter how much new evidence we find.

BTW I just googled "law of relativity", dam internet !
