They actually voted him into leadership of their group, they call his post-Marxist bullshit the "RBE caucus," it is they that don't seem to realize how completely incompatible the ideologies are.

It appears that Neil Kiernan Stephenson (VTV) was involved with the The Boston Tea Party of Michigan when he was running for the Congress. So I do think you are right Muertos that his allegiance is only Zeitgeist cult. But I also believe that like some other nuts that I have seen that up until recently he had an allegiance to The Boston Tea Party. And that this "RBE caucus" was nothing but a lame attempt to mesh these two incompatible ideological groups. When it didn’t work he simply dumbed the The Boston Tea Party.

Why You Are Running for Office

Stephenson:
I realized I wanted to run for Congress when I started shouting at the TV screen while watching C-SPAN the same way a lot of men do when watching Monday Night Football. I am tired of being lied to by my government. I am tired of watching our people die in wars brought on by those lies. I am tired of our economy being destroyed by our government. And lastly, I am tired of our government being owned by special interests and lobbyists who give subsidies to big companies and destroy small businesses.

The First Thing to Accomplish When Elected

I would get behind Congressman Dennis Kucinich's efforts to hold the Bush administration accountable for the lies told to the American people to get us into the Iraq war, up to and including impeachment. I would get behind Congressman Ron Paul's efforts to abolish the Federal Reserve and the Income Tax. I would get behind both of their efforts to restore civil liberties that have been taken by legislation like the Patriot act, Military Commissions act, etc. I would push to change our tax system to be friendly to businesses, to bring jobs back to our -=]

Areas You Would Most Concentrate On

Stephenson:
In order of priority: 1. Civil Liberties: Any and all provisions currently in our laws that are unconstitutional will be called to question by me. I am a strong supporter of the 2cd Amendment, and will fight to protect our rights to keep and bear arms. I want the government to need a warrant to get into your home, into your mail, into your email, into your library records, and into your life. We do not need these provisions to protect us from terrorists. In fact, the Constitutional amendments that these laws violate were put in place to protect us from our own government. 2. End the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan: If we wanted to get Osama Bin Laden, invading an entire country to get him is kind of inefficient. Not to mention silly, when you consider that he and his associates have plenty of knowledge of how to evade capture against large military forces from previous Soviet invasion. The war in Iraq was based on false information from the start. There was no Al Quaeda in Iraq until we went there. These wars have served to do very little other then line the pockets of war profiteers in major military contract companies like KBR and Haliburton. Just like in Viet Nam, every time we kill an innocent there, we swell the ranks of our opposition. We need to make a real effort to end these wars as fast as logistically possible. 3. I want to fight unemployment and poverty by repairing our economy. We need to change our tax system to attract businesses to the United States. And we need to do it now before they all move to third world countries. We also need to end the absurd inflation caused by our Federal Reserve system. The Federal Reserve loans us our own currency AT INTEREST. The income tax we all pay goes to pay the interest on those loans. It is never used for anything you ever see. This MUST stop. It is a parasite on our economy that must come to an end. Now.
