What must further be dealt with is the fact that autism, as its own pathology, was actually unnamed- not nonexistant- until the beginning of the 20th century. In fact, the term "autistic" in psychopathology was actually used to describe a symptom of people who were deemed mentally handicapped or "insane." However, because of the imprecision of the science, and the questionable diagnosis criterion of psychopathological conditions there was no separate condition of autism. This points directly to the question of how to reconcile that autism did exist before vaccination, despite the fact that it was unnamed.
