i'm looking at it from his point of view. I'm also very interested as to why he doesn't think as through Conservatives/Neo-Cons/Republicans don't care about people. When I can pull up evidence that show's that they do as well.

I think it's just on a person to person basis, really. Several years ago (and I have no proof of this) there was a study done and it found that Republicans donated more to charity than Democrats. This isn't because "conservatism is nicer to people" but likely because many registered Republicans are older and come from a time when donating to charity was something one must do to be right in society. Many liberals are younger, have less money, and also more wrapped up with their own lives, problems, etc. to donate money.

When I was younger I didn't donate many very often, because I didn't have any. I did, however, donate my time and also my old material goods.
