HAIL HYDRA Level: 6 CS Original | Well, here's the thing I'll tell you- I took all the AP classes I could and this was not consumate with rigorous understanding and intellectual fulfillment. That is to say, Omni, that no matter what level of school you are in, no matter what classes you take, you make your education. You are doing the right things in terms of picking classes for rigor and showing schools you want to work at the top level academically, but you are going to, one day, have to prove to them that you are more than just a resume. All the honors societies and clubs in the world wont get you where you need to be if you arent able show colleges you have the spark and passion to be a serious scholar. You will only accomplish this through sincere, purposeful writing that captures you as a person. My number one warning to high schoolers is to stop worrying about how your resume looks all the time and learn to learn. This will serve you best of all. But, you're taking the right classes to be prepared for most colleges work loads.

Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | Sweet. At the risk of sounding like an "awake, eye-opened" cheerleader here.... I really, truly, am extremely glad my intense curiosity and inquisitiveness led me to this website. It may have led me into the dark, dank intellectual cesspools of CT rhetoric and BS when I was younger, but all of that started to change after I went here, got told off, then came back after a crapload of lurking. This website (and really the members of its forum) started that sort of maturing process where a teen learns that questioning is not always right, how to think skeptically, not to fall for emotional appeals and so on. Have I finished this process? No, of course not. I lack time and experience, which arrives later on in life. ^^ This is relevant because a critical component of who I am as a person has been forged over the last year or so, one that will serve me all the days of my life, and one I plan on... I guess elaborating upon to colleges. I think. (not sure. FUCK!) The inquisitive, skeptical pursuit of knowledge. In a nutshell, to those that helped me to the point to where I am now, thank you. :D

Paid Disinformation Blogger Level: 14 CS Original | Omni, this looks like a great course load, but of course you know it will be a lot of work. AP classes are good not just for resumes, but they will save you (and your parents) real money in the real world. If you have a bunch of AP credits and play your cards right you can enter college as a sophomore and thus avoid having to pay for a full year of freshman-level credits. If you need help with AP US History let me know.

Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | Shit, you blacklisted Wikipedia as a source, that alone was probably enough to make him skimp out. Also, thanks for the offer Muertos. I'll make sure to contact you if I hit a snag.

Level: 1 CS Original | Good on you, Omni. AP is invaluable once you reach college. Think of it this way, US History 101, Civ 101, Bio 101, etc. are done and paid for. At private Universities, that's $5,000 worth of classes you don't have to pay for. I know you are young and hate hearing advice but try it on for size: Work hard and get your degree as fast as you can. Have fun, don't take life too seriously at your age, and drink as much as you can. Good Luck Omni.

Level: 1 CS Original | You're right, but I ended up okay. Don't graduate without having a bar where you're a regular. And practice darts, it's a great way to win free drinks.
