C'mon, people, I rely on you for entertainment. Find me something to debunk. Columbine numerology. Lizard people. Global warming denial. Peter Merola's latest fake credential. Anything. That is, anything except Austrian economists, that bores the shit out of me.

Aren't there at least some 9/11 Truthers out there we can make fun of? Screw Loose Change already mocked Dylan Avery's new hairstyle, so that one's been done.

Have you ever looked at the comic book thread at infowars or prison planet (I can't remember which one). There are hundreds of old comic book covers depicting Illuminati symbols, etc. You could try debunking that I guess, or prove that Spiderman is not a member of the NWO.

Since you're a historian:

How about the claim that the Bavarian Illuminati were behind the French Revolution?

Seriously, Diane, I mean really. To me that theory is no different than the Jews being behind the Bolshevik Revolution. Poor people can be very dangerous to the state, that doesn't take a grand conspiracy. Interestingly, when people "ordained by god" are overthrow, it always _is_ a conspiracy.

Two questions;

1. What do you think of the truthers who say that the "underwear bomber" was known by the CIA before he entered the plane, and thus proves that the CIA had a hand in it?

2. Isn't this track just perfect?

1. I generally think Truthers are nuts. I haven't seen any evidence of that claim, so I tend to discount it.

2. Not really my style. I like this one though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=517HtwqVxcA

How about the claim that the Bavarian Illuminati were behind the French Revolution?

I think it is far more likely that angry French people were behind the French Revolution.

Edward wrote, regarding my suggestion that Muertos debunk the claim about the Bavarian Illuminati being behind the French Revolution:

Seriously, Diane, I mean really. To me that theory is no different than the Jews being behind the Bolshevik Revolution. Poor people can be very dangerous to the state, that doesn't take a grand conspiracy.

I agree with you. However, it would be nice to have some additional historical data when dealing with people who aren't swayed by commonsense observations like the above. That's why I asked Muertos, who is a historian.

Interestingly, when people "ordained by god" are overthrow, it always _is_ a conspiracy.

Indeed, as far as I can tell, today's grand conspiracy idedologies originated with pro-monarchist, anti-democratic propaganda on behalf of rulers "ordained by God." The Protocols of the Elders of Zion was not just anti-Jewish but also anti-democratic, portraying democratic movements as evil tools of the evil Jews.
