I thought it sucked goat balls. Derivative, unoriginal garbage. I hated Dances With Wolves, so Dances With Wolves In Space (AKA Avatar) did nothing for me.

What say you?

I also didn't like the remake of Fern Gully.

P.S. Haha, yeah, I get it, you used the stupid fake-mineral from The Core. Let's rip off a crappy movie to create a great movie, that's how it works, right?

Unobtanium?

I laughed at that when I saw it. Personally thought it was a little stupid to use something like that.

I liked it actually. Granted it was nothing special, but it surely didn't suck balls. That belongs to movies like Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Armageddon, Volcano, and the American Godzilla remake.

Yes, I'm a biased Godzilla fan.

What be bad taste to one, is good taste to another...

...not always a good motto to live by.

I thougt it was crap as well Matt, though the visuals were good. I still can't believe they called it unobtainium... you're supposed to only keep placeholders in until a certain point Cameron!

The South Park episode really nailed it.

I liked it. More for the visuals than the story though. It was extremely over-hyped.

Even though I think it was made (meaning funded) by Fox it had a Disneyish formula to it. I thought the person playing the Marine character was pretty good, the bossy CGI g/f he had was good as well and as far as the rest of it was a downer. Avatar was nothing special and seemed unoriginal. This isn't a good movie but Avatar was just ok, it did it's job.

Wolf Bird:

Go watch the episode "Dances with Smurfs". Its also a greak Glenn Beck parody.

I enjoyed it. Not the greatest movie ever made. Yes, it was sort of like "Dances With Wolves" in space. But it was decent.

FYI, "Dances With Wolves" is one of my favorite movies.

Matt: in my own defense, I will state that my affinity for "Dances With Wolves" is not due entirely to the merits of the picture itself. Much of it has to do with sentimental attachments to the circumstances under which I first saw it.

I actually liked Waterworld, but then again, I haven't seen many of Costner's films. Can't be worse than any of Joel Schumacher's or Paul Anderson's films, right?

If paper was so scarce in Waterworld, where did all of those cigarettes come from?

Fresco invented them, you can use them forever. Regular cigarettes are just designed by the corporate overlords to burn up.

In waterworld, evolution works by randomly replacing organs with organs from other species. This is why Creationists are confused.

I like fern gully.

Avatar's graphics were alright. The story was predictable. Action was okay. Characters were kinda lame except for the general dude and ripley. Overall, meh.
