Some more thoughts from a libertardian quack doctor of my hometown [ http://www.ng.pl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=258&Itemid=1 ]:

"The convergence theory, proclaimed by the US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, assumes a slow, but steady trend of a socialist sytem towards capitalism, and capitalism towards socialism. At the end, the two systems were to harmonize, retaining some characteristics of each of them.
It's hard to deny it, because, as you can see with naked eye, it happened. Today, with few exceptions, we are dealing with capitalistic socialism, or if you will, socialist capitalism. The whole Europe, and even US, are becoming increasingly socialist. Unfortunately, Kissinger did not predict, that it will be initially becoming more rosy, and then it will get more stronger shades of red. [I struggled at this metaphore...]
The foundation of our civilization, based on three pillars: the Greek love of the truth, the Roman law, and the Christian morality, was shaken.
Let's take an example - the ownership. In a typical capitalist system, the ownership was sacred and it meant, according to the Roman law, the right to unrestricted use of the goods and disposal of them in owner's own interest. No one else, except the owner could dispose of someone else's property.
Since then much has changed.
In the socialist system, the working people of cities and villages were the owner of everything, managed by the vanguard of those people - the Party. The ownership was social, so everything belonged to everyone, but woe to someone who wanted to take his piece of it. Even in matters of land ownership, a concept of "perpetual lease" for 99 years was introduced. [He is rather right here. I've omitted other references to the communist Poland.]
Currently, in the quasi-capitalism we have the ownership, but the owner cannot use his property at his will. For example, even in his own car, he can't drive as he wishes, but in seatbelts, he has to pay insurance, he has to register it and pay for licence plates, etc.
If someone buys a CD, a book, etc., he cannot use it as he wants, but only as far as the copyright allows him.
It means that the Roman law goes away unnoticed and the owners have turned into conditional holders."

What I don't understand, nobody forces you to live in modern society, and libertardian economics doesn't require a huge investment in government services, so why don't these guys just expatriate and start their own country?

so why don't these guys just expatriate and start their own country?

Because they can't stop arguing:

Because they're insane:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montana_Freemen</p>

Because they lack money and support:

There's others too, I just didn't take the time of listing all of the failures of these people who have all the answers.
