In my mind, I think this guy is a loon. But I lack the academic education to explain why I think that to myself. HRALP ME SMERT PPL!

Why do you think he's a loon?

In my days as a neo-commie, I would've agreed, but I'm not that big on Critical Theory and Totality anymore.

I'm interested to know what aspects of what his work represents is "loon-worthy." There are of course things to disagree with in his philosophy, but maybe you could elaborate on where you saw his work and in what context that made you skeptical. That would help a lot in trying to unpack his ideas.

I get the feeling that someone may have abused his philosophy on the notion of falsifiability and verification to the point of allowing it to open up the legitimacy of conspiracy theories. But again, some context would help.

Austrian economists love him. In my mind there's a correlation between both's ignorance of science.

Show me where I'm wrong though if I am.

From a political-economic view, he's nothing spectacular. I've yet to read anything by Popper, but my initial reaction is that Austrian economists are using only a slim section of Popper's views to support their own. His views on science aren't necessarily wrong, but they are fairly complicated and its beyond me right now to explain it well. Sorry I can't help more, but I've never seen this guy's work.
