Level: 1 CS Original | I think it would be great to have someone do articles on economics and the several misconceptions in the field, particularly those concerning the Federal Reserve. I would be much obliged to contribute to that.

Paid Disinformation Blogger Level: 14 CS Original | Good idea, but we'd better get someone with some demonstrable credentials in the field of economics. Aside from not being Austrian, this person should at least have a degree in it. Otherwise the CT's will accuse whoever writes the articles of making stuff up or not knowing what they're talking about. (Not that they'll accept the conclusions of a trained economist in any event, but at least it will take that argument away from them).

Level: 1 CS Original | I agree, it would be highly desirable to have a section on economics in response to the hullabaloo about the Federal Reserve and fractional reserve banking.

Level: 3 CS Original | @ Muertos:
Austrian economists obviously don't care about empirically testing their ideas, or whether these ideas even make logically coherent sense. For an example of the latter, Austrian economists hold up consumers as the ultimate sources of authority for what entrepreneurs produce; yet the market, reflecting consumer preferences, has rejected the teaching of Austrian economics as a waste of resources. Without the astroturfing efforts of rich patrons, starting with Ludwig von Mises's phony job at New York University, which subsidized him to write Human Action and other unreadable propaganda for his world view, Austrian economics probably would have faded into obscurity decades ago.
