Level: 3 CS Original | I dont think its too bad, it may be slightly biased when reporting on the Israel-Palestine conflict or the war in Afghanistan/Iraq but I wouldn't say it compares to Russia Today.

Level: 3 CS Original | Russia Today could possibly be compared to something like Iran's PressTV which is state controlled or one of China's state controlled media. Al Jazeera is privately owned.

I shoot you dead. Level: 9 CS Original | ^You know what's strange? A lot of the far-right vehemently anti-Obama crowd claims he and the Democrats control the so-called mainstream media. Yet a lot of those same people seem to think Russia Today is a good source of information, which is a REAL piece of state-owned media. A tad ironic, eh?

Level: 0 CS Original | @Matt: For them, independent does mean: not going along with dirty, rotten, bankrupt and morally corrupt EU and USA. And sometimes also: not being overrun by Jews (apparently Poland is, for some of them). @WolfBird: Yes, there are people who think that Russia is some kind of lastion bastion, free of American influence. Being anti-Obama (considering him as a puppet) is just a part of being vehemetly Anti-American.

Level: 0 CS Original | @Matt: Legal gay marriages, abortion and euthanasia; abandonment of traditional (some would add "christian") values, multiculturalism, political correctness, legal drugs, legal prostitution (technically it's not illegal in Poland, in fact), the worship of money, and so on...
