He is probably the product of a hippie family that dropped out in the early sixties and brought him up to be a free thinker, they taught him all about the communes and the free love movement, then they got a job became materialistic corporate whores and kicked him to the curb to find his way in India.

Ever since then he has been lost and looking for his spiritual leader in empty dumpster cans and alleyways.

Also theres a hatred for the educational system and credentials that seems to make them feel like dropping out and not completing anyting.
It appears to be a hobby a lot of them have in common.

From what I can see being a pretentious spiritual prick and pseudo intellect about fringe topics is more substantial than having a proper education :S.

Just to clarify my point I think it worthy of pointing the typical characteristics of the average pseudo-intellectual out, i think these quite accurately describe not only a lot of their membership, but their admin and their leaders.

One who attempts to flex intellect that does not exist within his or her own mind.

Typical cases of pseudo-intellectualism involve people that think they have everything figured out, including, but not limited to: life, religion, politics, education, and sex. Ironically, they have never quite experienced either of the aforementioned.

Pretends he or she has an opinion.

Posseses a severe tendency to blindly and wholeheartedly believe any bullshit they hear, only to subsequently regurgitate the misinformation to anyone they see in an asinine attempt to appear more intelligent than a used, broken condom.

Should the victim of the verbal onslaught happen to have a differing opinion, the pseudo-intellectual will revert to his or her thesaurus and insult the opposition with words he or she never knew existed, and probably cannot even pronounce.

Typically a hypocrite; creates many, many contradictions. Most online grammar/spelling Nazis can relate.

Always ends a bullshit "argument" with, "I win, so stfu." Win what, dipshits? Your opinions weren't fact in the first place.
