What a promiscuous chick. But this is good, shows everyone who speak well of the uprising and people behind it what the reality really is - people are pissed off, America stopped paying their puppet so let's have chaos.

It does, too lazy to type. Basically, people who oppose the current regime have no problem raping women publicly.

I doubt it has anything to do with supporters or detractors of the current regime. It has much more to do with a culture that's still in the stone age in regards to gender equality and a mob of people from said culture.

It has nothing to do with "their culture" and everything to do with the fact that mobs everywhere commit horrible acts in times of frenzy. Women are raped during riots throughout the world, and its a leap to claim this was anything different. That said, what happened to her was horrible and atrocious and its certainly abhorrant in the highest possible sense of the word.

I don't think its a stretch to say Arab culture is not very progressive when it comes to women's rights.

@ EZ - America is paying Egypt $1.5 billion which is more than America pays the rest of the region combined. But yeah, you're right, Mubarak was not a puppet and everyone loves him. My bad.

Yeah they pay Egypt 1.5 billion because they are an important ally in the region. They combat terrorism and among other things are a bulwark against Iran's influence and don't forget they are one of the only Arab countries to have signed a peace treaty with Israel.

Calling someone a "puppet" implies they are under their complete control. Was Mubarak a strong ally of the US and thus they wanted him to be in power? Yes. Would he do anything they told him to? No.

Obviously America has a bit of influence around the world but countries aren't too scared of defying them. In Uzbekistan they had a US Military base (omg they are a puppet!) and when America criticized their human rights record they told America to fuck off and closed their base.

Foreign dictators are not all loyal to America (and Israel as some say) and they aren't oppressing their people to keep the great satan happy. They do it because they are dictators in a part of the world that has yet to see human rights such as freedom of speech and freedom to elect officials. Obviously America and other nations often turn a blind eye to it, but like I said before if America tells them to clean up their human rights they will tell them to fuck off and then America loses an ally potentially. When you come into another part of the world you need to work with whoever is in power there. Going around criticizing their rights record isn't going to earn you any friends.

Why should America give a damn about human rights in some third world country? It is better to pay the dictator of the said country and have an 'ally'. Make no mistake, it is a marriage of convenience and now another one will be made when the protesters decide they had enough fun raping women and marching up and down the square.
