Matt, what's your political stance? Who did you vote for? What do you think of anarchism?

For example, it's easier for me to understand why someone opposes Obama if they tell me they are conservative. If they are of a left-wing mindset, I have more questions.

From what I've read, he has been quoted as saying he is not racist. Can someone find a quote of his that comes off as racist?

Ultimately, this thread exists because Matt claimed Ron Paul to be racist, and I'm struggling to find evidence that confirms that statement.

What I meant was *I* don't want to be involved with discussing politics, if it comes up, I always get dragged into it, because that's probably the one thing I can't stop myself from talking about -- especially, as you claimed aaron, capitalism being a part of the anarchist tradition, I knew that wasn't true and had to say something.

I was raised in an anarchist family, around anarchists, and until high school I never met a single one that was capitalist. It wasn't until I about 2000 that i saw more young, white, middle class individuals jumping on the anarcho-capitalist bandwagon. What I really don't like is how many of them, such as yourself, don't know or don't want to know the real traditions of anarchism, instead it's just pure capitalism and it's all a utopia. I'm not accusing you of anything, by the way, what I'm saying is I think you didn't realize (because you won't read this in Rothbard) that most anarchists don't think like you.

No, it really declined in the 1980s, most either became liberals in order to FIGHT REAGAN or put their heads up their asses and became libertarians. By 1990 people in my family were almost all the anarchists I knew left.

The last big anarchist year was 1981, I think, when you had a few actual co-ops and employee owned businesses.

That's true matt, but also you're forgetting people that are so old they still think it's 1960s and prior. Noam Chomsky and my parents to name a few.
