Level: 0 CS Original | After reading this, well it's certain they want to spread their messages through other mediums, in other words creating servers for certain games, where other people can join, and they can spread their message. As a game design student, I am offended by this idea, the original poster, says that he wants spread the message outside their system, which is all well and good due to the fact that their crazy ideas can be judged by other people, but the majority of people that play online games exclusivly are mostly early teens to early 20's, giving people of both this age, and possibly mindset, this type propaganda in the gaming community is a terrible thing to do due the actual 'sponge effect' of games themselves. Also his use of being 'addicted' (as well as passion I must add, this I don't have a problem with), is another term I find well somewhat insulting, using the term addicted is a harmful term when consulting with games, as it just another media, I have never anyone else who is 'addicted' to watching films or listening to music. I also find it hard to believe that shouting out a random movement at the end of finals doesn't make the movement look better, due to the majority of people will see games as a childs play thing, thus the people who take it seriously, are also children. One last thing, unless you are South Korean, you cannot play RTS games 'professionally', the gaming community in the western world is very much different to the eastern community, I believe that his true meaning is 'exclusively' rather than 'professionally'. Unless he is paid like those in the community of South korea, I doubt he is a professional. Urgh, nerd rant over. | |||||
