![]() Level: 3 CS Original | Can someone explain to me why some people fixate on hyperinflation as the apocalyptic belief which gives their lives meaning? (Global warming apparently serves that function in some other people.) Hyperinflation hasn't happened all that often, and governments and central banks have the power to stop it through taxation and interest rates, provided the political will exists to do so. It occurs because of controllable human behavior, not because of some overwhelming force of nature like an earthquake or hurricane. | |||||
