Agreed. Sounds basically like the same mindset - one group controls everything, etc. It's horseshit. The people are rioting because of a despotic regime that's been in place about 3 decades. I doubt a 'puppet government' will be installed, especially especially one of Israel. This shows a misunderstanding of the basics of Middle Eastern politics.

Yeah, that's a shaky grasp of history, and is typical of CTers. He is right that foreign governments can and do stick their noses where they really shouldn't, but this is a riot of people. Yeah, I sure believe the US orchestrated this, when there is plenty of anti-American sentiment in Egypt.

Well CT beliefs often ascribe a huge amount of power to the people they believe to be behind world events. The truth is really that no individual country or person holds that much power over anything. The president of the United States cant even get a bill passed by himself. If the richest man in the world got sick or had an accident he would be as dead as anyone else. Hosni Mubarak cant keep in power if his people dont want him there.

I've heard people saying the Arab dictators are all under control of the US but they dont realise how many governments exist in the world that are not at all supported by the US or are openly against them and yet these regimes stay in power and are still supplied with weapons. Neither the US nor China nor Iran or even Russia really have alot of influence worldwide and people routinely defy them.
