I can't find the real definition of what the eye is or where it came from. Can someone throw me a link for this. Thanks!

Do you have any idea why people think it's a masonic symbol? Or illuminati too?

Didn't the Masons take A LOT of symbols from other cultures and give them their own meaning?

Total shot in the dark here, this is an inquiry.

I believe the masons have a symbol that's a triangle with an eye. Not a pyramid. It seems like it's just one big mystery :/

All Seeing eye AKA eye of providence
The people who crated the great seal of america were not ALL Freemasons, so you could assume they took on the symbol around the time they came up with the seal. They claim they did not invent the all seeing eye but adopted it more then anything. The official explanation of the seal is that its the eye of what ever god you believe in looking down on our unfinished work (the pyramid). I'll try to get you some links............

BTW you know how people always say the pyramid means different stuff by drawing a pentagram and crap around it? How come no one points out the unfinished pyramid with the eye of providence also looks like the letter A.....you know A as in AMERICA.
