After I picked up my oh-so delicious breakfast from McDonalds, I figured I'd stop in at the little plant store to see if they had any types of begonias in that I didn't have. While I was browsing around, the clerks and another customer began a very heated conversation about how it was going to be "illegal" to have a garden in your backyard and why evil Monsanto was to blame. I listened for a few minutes and finally said "None of this is true y'all."

They looked at me like I had sprouted horns. I then began to explain the differences between large scale agricultural farming using intellectual property and a garden in your back yard. I explained how such a law would be impossible and why it wasn't even logical or remotely rational in the first place. I also mentioned that without Monsanto's modified crops and large scale agricultural farming, a large percentage of the human population would starve and die.

One clerk seemed to understand and thanked me for my rational and reasonable information. The other mostly stared at me with disgust.

But I did get a new begonia.

Heh, awesome. Well done matt! I'm glad at least one of them acknowledged your rational, information-based argument.

Also, begonias are beautiful.
