Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | But I'm not sure its going the way they want it to: Gunbattles, food shortages temper Tunisians' joy http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110116/ap_on_re_af/af_tunisia_riots

I shoot you dead. Level: 9 CS Original | Are their Zeitgeisters in the comments or is there a thread on their forums about this? I try to avoid reading comments on stories on yahoo news because it makes me want to put an ice pick through my eyes.

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | We are seeing major changes in the Zeitgeist of today. The United States has been unmasked as the fraud and corrupt government (and I can't stress enough the word GOVERNMENT, not the innocent, hard working, good people that live under the regime of these mongols). You know what this is? Carl Sagan has talked about this, Jiddu Krishnamurti talked about this, Che Guevara talked about this, almost any great mind in human history has talked about this. This is that interconnected global consciousness. You see, your mind is yours, but your consciousness is the rest of mankind. Since every human that has ever lived has the same desires, we have all suffered, we have all hated, we all want to achieve something, we all want happiness, we all want love, that is the global consciousness. You can compare this global consciousness to the planet of the Navi's in the movie Avatar, everything is connected with each other like a huge brain. That idea is indeed based on the theory of Global Consciousness. That's why we are seeing this transition happen. Because more and more people are wanting a change. If we didn't want this change to happen, then WikiLeaks, TZM, TVP, and all the great minds in history who have advocated for a change, never would have existed. But because we want a change. this is the result of that. This is the transition, it is happening right now as we speak.

I shoot you dead. Level: 9 CS Original | Three questions: 1. Why does TZM constantly parrot Carl Sagan? I also think I now refuse to visit their forums.

Level: 1 CS Original | They're talking out of their collective hole as usual. 99.999% of Tunisians have never heard of Zeitgeist and their fight is for jobs, democracy and the removal of a heavyhanded government regularly using police brutality and torture. I'd love to see them comment on some of Che's views on Africans and homosexuals.

Level: 3 CS Original | Tunisia may not be the best example as even at its worst the Government wasn't as bad as some in history, maybe somewhere like North Sudan can be given as an example of how people in the USA and pretty much all the countries CT'ers come from have more civil rights than alot of people elsewhere in the world. Some people actually have real problems to worry about; censorship, being arrested for posting on a blog, lack of religious freedom, conflict to worry about as opposed to imaginary christian fundamentalist inspired bullstinky.

I shoot you dead. Level: 9 CS Original | Ez, I have a friend who's a Christian, but absolutely hates a lot of the bullshit that comes with it, especially the apocalyptic stuff. I've been trying to get him to get an account here...I think you'd have fun talking to him. On topic: You make a great point regarding countries like the US and the developed world where CTers come from where as much as they crow and complain, they don't have to worry about censorship and such. Then they use such examples in the developing world to shoehorn things in to fit their world view, all the while pissing on people who spend their time in developing world trying to help people.

Level: 3 CS Original | Yeah alot of Christians the world over don't believe in any of that woo, it seems to mainly be Evangelicals (read; Bible thumpers and born again christians) and even then I'm sure not all of them believe it. And yeah its stupid when people like Alex Jones and Glenn Beck harp on about censorship and no freedom of speech when one of them has a website and 10000's of Google/Youtube results to his name and the other has a show on Fox News. Also CTs seem to only be popular in 1st world countries. The only kind of CT's outside of the West seem to be common in Islamic countries regarding Jews and Israel, but even then they aren't very common except in Fundamentalist muslim circles.

I shoot you dead. Level: 9 CS Original | What irks me about Beck and Jones, and CTers in general, is that when a non-CTer tries to join the conversation, they get pounced on, their comments get flagged or removed or whatever. I know CSers here have documented that happening numerous times. I even see it happen on comments sections on yahoo news. The one or two reasonable voices get downvoted so far the comments get removed. Who's censoring who here?

Level: 3 CS Original | Yeah I've noticed that too, anyone commenting on Youtube videos debunking Jones are insulted and called shills, government agents, freemasons, etc and you'll get the odd comment along the lines of "You will wake up one day, bla bla bla FEMA camps bla bla bla NWO...". It's really quite funny reading comments sometimes, but other times it just makes me rage. Or you get people saying how Alex is just trying to expose corruption, which is complete bullstinky.

I shoot you dead. Level: 9 CS Original | I've basically tried to stop reading comments sections on ANYTHING on the web, because it just makes me rage, though at one point it used to make me laugh. Even on things like Skeptoid, there's the whole 'shill, you'll wake up one day, etc.'. Even NPR, which is one of my favorite news sources, commenters are twits, though generally not CTers.

Level: 5 CS Original | My CTer room mate told me that we "barely have a first amendment these days." I suppose that's why Alex Jones is not running his stupid mouth anymore. Oh, wait... Unfortunately, these people DO live in a free country and are allowed to make idiots of themselves. Yet you hear absolutely nothing but pissing and moaning from them. That's what makes me rage.

I shoot you dead. Level: 9 CS Original | @Snob Again...one of my biggest problems with CTers. Alex has his show, you can get his movies on netflix, I've seen some of this stuff in book and movie stores, it's all over the internet, Rush Limbaugh lampoons against Obama everyday but he's on the air, same with Glenn Beck, O'Reilly... How is this all censored? Once again, it seems to be that CTers are the ones who do the censorship, when you look at comments on websites and youtube.
