I don't think society requires revolution, only tweaks to the current systems. Therefore, I don't need to come up with alternative solutions to problems that I might not even see as problems in the first place.

I don't trust what you want for society, because it looks like technofascism to me.

It isn't that I don't want to improve things. Its that I think your ideas are bullshit and stupid and you have shitty hair.

Shit, you don't even have any ideas. All you do is parrot shit you read on your stupid site.

Well good luck with that Matt. Obviously just a little correction to our current path is going to solve all of this; oh wait, no it's not. That's painfully obvious to anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together. Well, better luck next time.

Since no constructive conversation is possible, my last comment on all this silliness:

Matt, even though we don't see eye to eye on things, and despite your childish attempts at insult AND knowing full well you won't believe me, I want you to know, honestly & sincerely:

I love you.

As you go forward in your life, when the question of "who loves Matt" inevitably arises, you can know that someone, somewhere out there, does indeed love you (despite your vitriol).

Be well Matt.

Someday I hope you can grow in yourself to understand why.

What is the difference between improving the quality of collective understanding & pedantic, attrit ranting for attention?"

Ed never did that. He worked hard trying to get conspiracy theorists to critically analyze their ideas.

I cannot believe how disrespectful you've been in this thread. You've behaved like someone who walks into a house and smashes all the valuables because you're so convinced "that'll show 'em" - that will not work here.

Next time you want to contend for ideas you so obviously have not critically analyzed - this evidenced by the fact that you write countless sentences without premises and jump straight to the conclusions, thus making all your arguments baseless and devoid of critical thinking - at least be aware that you will not convince anyone with (as you put it) "2 brain cells."

I suggest you learn what ad hominem actually is, because the way Zeitgeist moderators use the term is bullshit.

@ Joseph Matthew: "Still waiting for your alternative solutions to our collective problems... Oh what's that? You don't have any? Surprise surprise."

Why, whenever anyone criticizes Zeitgeist for the conspiracy crap, is the rejoinder always some variation of, "Well, what are YOUR ideas for changing the world?"

Mine or anybody else's ideas for changing the world have absolutely nothing to do with Peter Merola pushing ludicrous conspiracy theories. None. Absolutely zip. Nothing.

This is a very common dodge among Zeitgeisters--it was attempted twice (once by the same Joseph Matthew) in the comments on my Zeitgest blog--which leads me to believe it's some sort of policy. It's just an attempt to change the subject, and extremely arrogant and disingenuous, because it sets up the Zeitgeister as having all the answers when you, the lowly debunker who dares to question conspiracy theories, aren't even qualified to talk to them unless you automatically have a full program for solving all the world's problems. Only then are you even allowed to question Zeitgeist.

Fuck that shit. What a stupid tactic.

How about this? I'll tell you my ideas for saving the world as soon as you and the Zeitgeisters disavow conspiracy theories and expel all 9/11 Truthers, including Peter Merola, from your movement. Then we can talk about saving the world.

Don't like them apples, do ya?

I've read posts from Zeitgeisters about how they need to "control" the population, and will "control" the population.

Needless to say, red flags went up.

Wow this thread really took off!

Oh look I see a troll!

Hi, Joseph Matthew!

Find the hypocrisy here is quite astounding actually. Always amazed by how little "sour grapes" people do to actually improve things.

Sorry it didn't work out. When you guys grow up and learn that there's more to life than your narrow view of things, you're welcome back. Next time, try to be more useful.

----------------------------

Joseph Matthew,

As I said on the Zeitgeist forum in the thread I was banned, YOU asked for examples of quote-mines in Zeitgeist. I first had to explain what a quote-mine WAS, then gave some examples to you and you ignored it saying you didn't want to get the answer from ME.

:S

I said I could get you even more. You said you don't care and that you don't want MY answer.

What is weirder is that you still acted as if no one HAD given you any examples of quote-mines, as if I hadn't said anything, and then tried to rationalise that as acceptable.

You also accused me of being a troll - refused to provide an example.
You also accused me of bring rude to you - refused to provide an example.
You also accused me of "manipulations" and "tricks" - refused to provide an example.

Then Peter bans me and doesn't even comment on the validity of what I said. He doesn't even say he disagrees with me or what I posted wasn't true. You know why Joseph Matthew? Its because Peter Joseph evidently DOESN'T CARE if any of the facts in Zeitgeist are true or not. Its irrelevant to his marketing strategy.

He says clearly that I am wrong for acting like Zeitgeist is a "blight" on the movement. But why? Well he explains why, he says that Zeitgeist 1 is and always has been the CORE GENERATOR OF INTEREST. He just can't see how "interest" doesn't equal credibility. When TimeCube.com gets media interest a lot of people will go to his website, but that doesn't mean TimeCube is any more credible.

He then says that me criticising and pointing out errors in his films is counter productive, he says... "I have come to the conclusion that your interest in the movement is more undermining than anything else."... Why would he say that, Joseph Matthew? He says that because not only are the truthfullness of his films IRRELEVANT to him but that if you criticise it that UNDERMINES the Movement. Why would it undermine the movement? Because he's realised he doesn't want anyone explaining exactly how Zeitgeist lied on his own forum.

He claims that I am wasting bandwidth talking about 9/11, yet doesn't ban or stop anyone else posting 9/11 conspiracy material!

Just look on Misc right now, there's 3 9/11 threads just one page 1! A moderator even posted in one since the ban and yet no posts and been removed, no threads have been locked and no warnings have been given. How's that for "hypocrisy", Joseph?

You know why they are still allowing those threads? Because PRO-911 conspiracy theories are what is promoted in the Movement's materials so they are fine and dandy. And yes, going by what Peter said, Zeitgeist 1 cannot be said to not be part of the Movements materials anymore. If its the core generator of interest, its the number one marketing tool. Maybe someone should notify the Communications team of this and see what they think. Maybe they can rustle up some Zeitgeist 1 leaflets telling everyone the bankers want to microchip them, that the income tax is illegal and that 9/11 was in inside job and please check out the Venus Project! Why stop there? If conspiracies bring people in how about making more conspiracy films, why not moon hoax, fluoride is mind control, HAARP conspiracies or the Obama "birther" stuff?

Tell me Joseph Matthew, do you want to find out why Zeitgeist is wrong, if it contains lies and why it shouldn't be trusted? Or do you want to just refuse to listen, which is literally what you did before?

This has nothing to do with The Venus Project, even if the Venus Project is 100% valid in every way it would only make this MORE relevant to talk about. This is about Peter Joseph and his dishonesty and how this makes the Movement look.

oh god casemon [Josephs technicolour dream] has arrived lucky us.

I see he is using his big words and saying nothing as usual, that is unless you count hard line defending his gurus and cult as saying something substantial.

This guy tries hard, perhaps too hard. He tried his hardest on my blog and he ended up getting spanked and sent back home to his daddy [Peter Merola].

I have posted a lot though... There's a lot of stuff just in that one 9/11 New Information thread. But if anyone wants to do that that's fine with me. I don't really have time to wade through all that right now, I'd also have to re-register just to copy the forum code.

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Also, nice logic fail trying to create an equivalence between questioning the timing of Merola's video and claiming that 911 was an inside job. There's conclusive proof that 911 was not an inside job, do you have any conclusive proof that Merola's video was not damage control?
