From http://wolnemedia.net/swiat-komputerow/windows-8-nowy-wymiar-inwigilacji/</p>

"The leaks about surveillance mechanisms implemented by Microsoft in Windows 8 have appeared on the web. The information comes from an anonymous employee of this company, who works on the development of this technology.

Published info cocnerns Microsoft's collaboration with FBI, officialy aimed at fighting pedophilia. The objectice is noble as always.

The mechanism itself is quite clever. It involves calculating the SHA1 hash for each image thumbnail generated by OS and sending it to Microsoft without the knowledge of the user. These hashes will be then compared with samples of known images, allowing to detect the owner of illcit images.

This is not the end of the corporation's surveillance tendencies. Windows 8 will detect the anonymasation methods (such as the famous Tor) and those computers to high-risk group. In this case, thumbnails would be send in their entirety and checked personally by FBI agents from the responsible department.

The source recommends abandoning Windows for Linux, because in his opinion, the system for controlling users in Microsoft products reaches dangerous levels. At the same time, he calls for not using such illegal materials, what I second.

Microsoft has not yet issued an official statement on this. However, we can expect that they will deny anything, and the surveillance system will be remodelled."

Wolnemedia.net (Polish for "free" or "independent media") is just another site that boasts themselves as independent source of information. They list "important subjects" on their homepage and the first five items are: Codex Alimentarius, 9/11, GMO, NWO, and "dangerous vaccines".
As for the article about Windows 8, they put an article from a non-conspiracy site as source. Original site openly claims that it is just a rumor.
Personally, I think that the source of this "leak" is just some annoying Linux fanboy.

As a Linux user, I'm going to go ahead and agree with Olek that the source of this "leak" is an annoying Linux fanboy.
