We seem to have one on the FB group. They usually try to steer a middle course, saying stuff like "I don't know what happened on 9/11," "I like to keep an open mind" or "there are good arguments on both sides."

My favorite is a line I've heard from more than one Zeitgeister, where they say, "I don't believe all the conspiracy theories, but I don't believe the official story either, and what really happened is probably somewhere in between." Yeah, right. Like that's even possible.

These people annoy me. Generally they seem harder to convince even than hardcore CT's, because they have an emotional attachment to the idea of "agnosticism" and they think they'll be compromising themselves intellectually by siding with the "official story." I generally treat agnostics as full-blown CTs because they usually bring up the same long-ago debunked points, but they just preface them with some sanctimonious statement about JAQ or "I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but..."

I remember when that Diane chick was here she said, "There are idiots on both sides of the debate." I asked her to provide an example of an "idiot" in the debunker camp and she identified ME. Nyuk nyuk nyuk!

What do you think of these people, and do you think I'm wrong to treat them no differently than unabashed CTs?

No. Because they *are* CTs.

They're just pussies about admitting it.

I think they either don't care and/or haven't thought about it and they are just trying to avoid being called names.

I notice the ones that are "on the fence" never actually ask any questions about what's wrong the the truther side. It's only questioning the 'official story'. It's basically your typical truther tirade prefaced with "I'm not a conspiracy theorist but..." and concluded with a "but I'm just asking questions here!".

So much for being Agnostic

"Brittany Smith I am now leaning towards the idea that if there was a conspiracy on 911 on the part of the U.S. Government that it was one to allow it to happen and then manipulate the circumstances to get into two profitable wars"

Tell her to read Maureen Dowd's book Bushworld.

It explains exactly why the 911 plot slipped through the cracks and it had nothing to do with any vast conspiracies or allowing anything to happen.

The administration was just stupid.

But she will probably say Maureen Dowd is part of the conspiracy or something, even though almost every administration has hated her guts.

I flamed her, but tempered my tone a little bit when I realized she's gone from being MIHOP to LIHOP.

Now if we can get her to believe LIHOA, which is the "official story" anyway, we might have something.

I'm sure more than a few trees had to die for all those signs to be made.

There, now you've got another moral dilemma, hippie.

Defense companies make a killing off of war. No pun intended. If I had money back in 2001, I would have put it all on Raytheon, Lockheed Martin. Surveillance and security companies made out well too because of war. And of course...Halliburton.

Of course taxpayers lose. But they are the punching bag no matter what the weather.

I think I was a LIHOP at one time, but I've morphed into a LIHOA.

Yup... my cousin showed me Zeigeist 1 and I thought it was THE shit (not shit like it really is). I looked it up and found Zeitgeist 2 and voila, Twoofer me was born, and naturally, I told friends who seemed interested. Him and I were quite the Zeitgeist Crusaders/9/11 Truthers back last year around this time.

I grew the fuck up, and he's older than me. I think he can too.

For starters, I'm starting with 9/11. Zeitgeist will be much harder to get him out of, perhaps impossible.

He's a very activism oriented person, so his motivations are genuine.

Like most teens, he's just misguided.

Update:

He's doing what pisses me off the most.

He's trying to put the Onus on me to debunk. I'm saying he has not offered any evidence to support his claim.

This keeps up I'm just going to call him a little bitch for wussing out of supporting his woo.

In all fairness, the onus should be on you to debunk. You got him into it in the first place.
