Fans of AJ aren't rational, they're going to believe in "government censorship" whether Sil or anyone else takes them down. It doesn't matter what True Believers think, most are lost causes and the ones who aren't will either figure it out on their own or they won't at all. It only matters that the woo doesn't spread.

So, I advocate ripping them down with extreme prejudice.

Ripping down their signs is a form of self expression and protest. This is not a first amendment issue.

I know all this, just saying.

That I wouldn't be too terribly upset if someone like a cop ripped down the posters. I might actually laugh at the hysterics that would follow.
