That's how the bald dude knew stuff about a wild banana and the domestic banana. I did find it funny the comments he said in between though LOL

I think that was exactly his point. That religion should be granted "respect" if for no other reason so that you don't become a social pariah.

Personally, I don't have a problem with religion or religious folks until they try to prove their faith with science. It's why I don't care if someone is a Christian, but why young earth creationists bug me.

Well, I read that as him saying that religion should not deserve any special treatment as compared to other irrational beliefs on the basis of their claims. Not that religion doesn't deserve respect for what it has done. If that's not what he meant, than my mistake for reading it that way.

Atheists can still be moral and do good things. I contend it is better to be rational and do good things, than irrational and do good things. Because that irrationality can more easily lead to bad things.
