I guess they don't realize that 40 years is a pretty big span of time for a group that supposedly controls everything to push something through.

I skimmed a few of them and found no evidence of any nefarious plot to take over the world. Which is more than I can say for you. In fact I found some things that seemed to be the opposite of that; see the quotes Muertos posted earlier.
