Level: 12 CS Original | Keith Olbermann, MSNBC's primetime firebrand host, has been suspended indefinitely for violating the ethics policies of his employer earlier this year when he donated to three Democrats seeking federal office, MSNBC announced Friday.

Level: 12 CS Original | Fox hosts funded Republicans without reprimand. Is it really wrong for Olbermann to fund them?

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | If it was in his contract not to, then yes. Fox should not be used as a benchmark for anything, except perhaps stupidity.

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | Everyone acknowledges Fox's blatant bias except for Fox viewers because they honestly believe that Fox is telling them the truth. Or perhaps Fox simply tells them what they want to hear and that's enough. Why anyone would want to hear shit like that is totally beyond me. FEAR FEAR FEAR FEAR FEAR Yeah, no thanks.

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | Was thinking Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, etc. There was an attempt to do left-leaning talk radio but it pretty much sucked. I have no interest in sitting and listening to an echo chamber, judging by the ratings it got not many other people did either.

Ordo Ab Chao. Level: 8 CS Original | So that begs the question. Why is radio dominated by right-wingers and wing-nuts?

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | Because they like listening to an echo chamber. Talk radio is basically audio editorials.

Level: 6 CS Original | Right wingers are better funded, and next to every decent liberal opinion lacks the concision needed for a talk radio. And if you reduce it to the bare minimums morons like Limbaugh or O'Reilly can remember on air, left wing becomes as annoyingly stupid as right wing is. You can trash them as Stewart does, but you gotta know what you're doing beyond that. Still, if I lived in the US, I'd probably fund a small radio.

Because the Fairness Doctrine was repealed in 1987, and conservatives saw a niche market. One of the stupidest things Obama has done was to say he's not in favor of returning the Fairness Doctrine. One stroke of the pen (it can be revived by executive order, not even legislation) and he could kill off Rush, Fox, Glenn Beck and probably a lot of CT's in one fell swoop.

Paid Disinformation Blogger Level: 14 CS Original | No it wouldn't...because for every right winger who howls about reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, you would have to give equal time to a left-winger who thinks it's a great idea! That's the beauty of it.
