Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | I ran into a vegan woo-spewer on another forum who believed that we'd all been brainwashed by the "meat industry" (whatever the hell that means) to falsely believe that human beings are supposed to eat meat. He told me that all the proof was in some document called The China Study. I asked him to explain it, but he couldn't, which leads me to think he's never read the stupid thing either. Anyways, on with the debunking, and thankfully someone else has already done the work:

Level: 12 CS Original | Veganism to spare life is to live a life of contradiction. We need to kill to survive.

Level: 4 CS Original | Plants have feelings too, or at least senses and chemical signals and shit. And they have a kind of nervous system in their roots, according to a TED talk. And they move. Just because they move slowly doesn't mean they're not alive! Or that they "don't have an interest in survival"

Level: 3 CS Original | The paleolithic diet has more scientific support than veganism. I heard biologist Michael R. Rose give a talk recently where he argued that natural selection acted on Eurasian populations to favor genes which help us thrive on agricultural diets during our reproductive years, but by the age of 40 or so the body's nutritional needs revert back towards a paleolithic physiology.

Level: 12 CS Original | To be fair, I think that if you're going to be vegan for moral reasons, you need to abstain from ALL animal products. It's illogical to stop eating meat yet continue to buy things that have animal products in them. It's also illogical to run in a field and kill insects that die from your footprint. It's also wrong to fly planes because many bugs and birds have been hit by them. I'm fairly black and white on the whole vegan / vegetarian thing when it comes to moral reasons. If you're going to be a vegetarian to save life, then you *must* go all the way and be a complete vegan. Of course, dunces will say that intent is all that matters. Therefore, a plane hitting birds or you accidentally stepping on ants isn't a big deal. Or, they'll say that insects or other simple creatures aren't worth saving - only large animals with complex brains are. Nope. Doesn't fly.

President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho: porn star and five-time ultimate smackdown wrestling champion! Level: 150 CS Original | In that case, thousands upon thousands of rabbits and other animals with pretty complex brains are killed in fields by machines every year, including organic soy fields.
